Using QR codes & review links to collect reviews

Collect high-quality reviews at the perfect moment—right when customers unbox your product. With QR codes and review links, you can boost review rates, increase visual review collection, and capture feedback when excitement is highest.

Note: This feature is currently in beta and is being gradually rolled out. If you don’t see it in your account yet, it will be available to you soon.


Why use QR codes and review links to collect reviews?

Customers are most likely to leave meaningful reviews when their excitement is fresh—like right after they open your package. But traditional email review requests can arrive too late, leading to missed opportunities.

QR codes and review links let you:

  • Engage customers at peak excitement by prompting a review request the moment they receive their order
  • Boost visual review rates by capturing that unboxing moment
  • Complement or replace delayed email review requests

You can add QR codes and links to packaging inserts, email footers, thank-you cards, receipts, and more.


How to set up your QR code and referral link

Both your QR code and review link are available on the QR Code & Review Link settings page. You can use either (or both) depending on how you want to share the review request with your customers.

1.  Access your QR code and review link settings

Inside the Reviews section, go to Preferences > QR Code & Review Link.

2. Choose your preferred option (or use both)

  • To use a Review Link: Click Copy review link to use in digital channels like email footers, newsletters, or thank-you pages.

  • To use a QR Code: Download the QR Code in PNG or SVG format.

3. Place your QR code or link

Add the QR code or review link to any customer touchpoint:

  • Packaging inserts

  • Receipts or order summaries

  • Email footers

  • Thank-you cards or newsletters 


What happens when a customer scans or clicks?

Once a customer scans the QR code or clicks the review link:

  1. They’ll be asked to enter their email address.
  2. Loox checks if they have any unreviewed purchases in your store. If they do, they’ll immediately receive a review request email for the most recent order.

FAQs

Q: What happens if there’s no review request for a customer?
A: The customer won’t receive an email. They’ll simply see a generic confirmation message after entering their email.

Q: Will QR/link requests be tracked separately?
A: Yes. Reviews submitted via QR or review link are tagged in your Manage Reviews tab.
